The Daily Double & Giveaway

I just wanted to make a quick post to let you guys know about the Daily Double Christmas Festival! The Daily Double is PokerStars' latest promotion (you can find more info about it here). In this series of daily tournaments you can claim a piece of the $4.5 million that they give in total. They have already started running, so if you're interested don't delay any longer!

If you'd like to participate but your bankroll doesn't allow it, look for the 500 FPP satellites, or those of 5 FPPs and fight your way to the top! (More info about the satellites here).

Common Cents

Hello guys!

In case you haven't heard, PokerStars has come up with a new exciting series of tournaments called "Common Cents". As the name suggests, you only need a few pennies to participate in this series. But that doesn't mean that the prizes aren't exciting... In fact, the kick-off tournament of this series that will take place on October 5th has a guaranteed prize pool of $100.000! And the buy in is... one cent!

If you're a micro-stakes player or if you are trying to build a bankroll from scratch, then this series is for you! And if you're a more experienced player that can't pass up the opportunity to claim a big prize with hardly any risk, then this series is for you too! Προσκλήσεις για το VIP Πάρτι

Η αντίστροφη μέτρηση για το πάρτι έχει ήδη αρχίσει! Δεν απομένουν παρά λίγες μέρες... Αν θέλετε να πάρετε πρόσκληση αλλά ακόμα δεν τα έχετε καταφέρει μέσω κάποιου διαγωνισμού ή τουρνουά, τότε τώρα είναι η ευκαιρία σας!

Την Πέμπτη στις 22:00 θα γίνει το τουρνουά 1312429710. Κοστίζει μόλις 100 FPP και δίνει 15 προσκλήσεις! Περισσότερες δηλαδή από οποιοδήποτε άλλο τουρνουά που έγινε μέχρι τώρα. Αυτό είναι το τελευταίο τουρνουά που θα μοιράσει προσκλήσεις για το πάρτι, οπότε μην το χάσετε.

• Τουρνουά 1289594868: Αυτό το τουρνουά θα γίνει στις 31 Αυγούστου στις 21:30 ώρα Ελλάδας. Το buy-in είναι μόνο 100 FPPs και πέρα από τα FPPs που μπορείτε να κερδίσετε θα δώσει όχι 5 αλλά 10 εισιτήρια για το VIP πάρτι!

Επίσης, μην ξεχνάτε ότι μπορείτε πάντα να αγοράσετε απευθείας μια πρόσκληση από το κατάστημα VIP έναντι 1500 FPP. Με τόσες ευκαιρίες για να κερδίσετε, πραγματικά δεν έχετε δικαιολογία για να μην παρευρεθείτε στο πάρτι! Μην το χάσετε! Τα λέμε από κοντά στην Αθήνα στις 5 Σεπτεμβρίου.

Yesterday was the end of the best contest my blog has seen so far... And one lucky guy is walking away with the big prize: a trip to Greece to go to the VIP Club Live Party!

I got several creative photos, but I could only choose one to win. The winner is from Austria. Here is his photo:

I don't even know how many times he had to jump to get the photo right. But it looks great: a wonderful scenery by the sea and someone jumping in the water in a way that it looks like flying. Amazing! I also really like the way he found to incorporate the PS logo: on his hat. It's subtle,  but it's there. And it all goes very nicely with the summer theme of the VIP Party in Athens.

Win a trip to Greece

In my last post I promised you some exciting news, didn't I? Here we go!

Over the past year and a half that I joined PokerStars Team Online I've run quite a lot of contests on my blog and social media pages. The prizes varied from a ticket to the monthly Team Online freeroll, to a percentage of a Team Online Members' winnings of the Sunday Million and other prizes in between.

But today I will present you with what I think is the best contest I've ever had on my blog: a chance for you to win a trip to Athens and attend the PokerStars VIP Club Live party!!! How awesome is that?!?

Winning a VIP Package for the party in Athens includes:

• $750 for travel expenses
• 2 nights at a 5-Star Hotel in Athens
• Transportation from the airport
• 2 tickets to VIP Club Live: Athens

You're probably wondering what you need to do in order to get a shot at this amazing prize... Well, this is a summer party by the sea we're talking about. So sticking to the theme, I want you to send me a photo inspired by the summer that has the PokerStars logo somewhere in it. It can be a photo from your summer holidays. It can also be the summer cocktail you enjoyed after work. It can be you playing poker on your laptop at the beach. Pick whatever you want and snap a photograph, it just needs to instantly make me think of summer and have the PokerStars logo appear somewhere in there.

You can send your photos through facebook or twitter. 

To participate through facebook, post your photo on the wall of my page with the title "PokerStars VIP Package Athens Contest" and your PokerStars user ID.

To participate through twitter, send me your photo at @katerina0289 with the hashtag #PokerStarsAthensParty and your PokerStars user ID.

Only one entry per person is accepted. I'm just running this on facebook and twitter at the same time so that it's easier for you guys. If I do get more than one entry per person, only the first one will be taken into consideration. Photos that are not accompanied by a PokerStars user ID will not be considered valid entries, so please don't forget to include it. All photos must be submitted by August 25th at noon Lisbon time. That gives you a week, so grab those cameras and get to work! The winner will be announced through my blog.

I'm so excited about this contest! Over the past 5 years that I've been living in Portugal I've talked quite a bit about my travels back to Greece. This time I get to invite one of my readers to participate in this trip! And apart from giving you the opportunity to visit my home country, I will also get to meet one of you in person! That's so great!

But wait cause there's more! As you may have guessed, this VIP Package contest is exclusive to non-Greek players. The idea is that someone wins the package and travels from a country abroad to visit Greece and experience the Greek way of partying. But I couldn't leave my fellow countrymen empty-handed!

Let's party in Athens!

Hey guys!

I'm back! It's been quite a while since my last post... As you may already know, I got married last month to fellow Team Pro Online member André Coimbra. The wedding preparations took a lot of time but it was all worth it! It truly was the best day of our lives! My husband and I left for our honeymoon a couple of days after the wedding ceremony and we just got back.

I want to do some catching up and make a post regarding my latest news and what I've been up to lately, but it'll have to wait cause I have something every exciting to share with you!

Partying the PokerStars way

There will be a VIP Club Live party in Athens next month! Some of you may already be aware of this cause the schedule of the VIP Club Live parties has been announced since the beginning of the year. But just in case you hadn't heard already, I'm here to let you know all about how you can attend.

Here are a couple of important points:

• The party will be held in Athens, Greece on September 5th.
  

• Tickets for the party are available at the VIP Store for 1.500 FPPs for SilverStar+ VIPs. Same as any other VIP Club Live party, this is an exclusive event for PokerStars players and their guests so you must have a ticket in order to attend. But even if you don't have enough FPPs or your level is not SilverStar+, don't worry because...
  
• There will be some Greek-only regional Tournaments running from now until the party where any VIP Status can win tickets. For example, there's one tournament with great value tomorrow (17th of August) that costs only 100 FPPs to participate and it gives 10 tickets guaranteed to the top finishers!

If you've been following my blog then you know I'm a huge fan of these VIP Club Live parties! They're awesome and the environment is always great! This next one is of course very special to me cause it's being held in my hometown. Not only that, but it will be in Balux which is one of my favorite clubs in Athens. It's an open club by the sea with great music... Do I have to say more? You can find more info about the event here.
